IDEA
Did you already gravel today?
We think the Gravel deserves its own happening!
A real festival: the SCHWALBE GRAVEL GAMES.
A meeting point for the gravel scene in a place with a special atmosphere.

Simply limitless
The gravel bike has developed into an independent bike category in a short time. No wonder, because there are hardly any limits for gravel: whether on the road, bike path, gravel road or narrow path - with the gravel you can get anywhere. And that away from the road and traffic.
At the same time, a casual culture has developed around the gravel bike that also knows no borders. Tight lycra or wide baggy shorts, sleek race jersey or loose shirt, racing bike or MTB helmet: almost anything is allowed on the Gravel.
The focus is on having fun cycling and enjoying the surroundings. Coffee or french fries at the booth instead of energy hedges and power gel. Goodbye cut, kilometers and meters in altitude as a must.
In the middle of the district
The former Ewald colliery in Herten and the Hoheward landscape park represent an industrial culture that has shaped an entire region along with the Ruhr area. This area is the ideal location for the SCHWALBE GRAVEL GAMES. Here tradition meets modernity and relics of a bygone industrial age meet the further development of a dump landscape into a recreational area.
The Ruhr area is made for gravel like no other metropolitan area. Endless paths on former railway lines, along canals, through forests and parks offer fantastic routes. Whether for a short, fun round or a full-day tour - the possibilities are unlimited.
